Chess player/enthusiast. Once upon a time: high school, college, national chess champion. Accountant preparing to sit for CPA exams in the next 12 months. I am reflecting on life lessons I learned or should have learned from the game of Chess.
What I hope to accomplish my writing here
I think I have learnt and experienced a lot through my life so far that I can document it here. I know that I will keep learning and gaining experiences in both Life and Chess. My experiences and knowledge will, hopefully, positively impact other people. At a minimum, I hope to write things that will make readers think. I also hope that parents who have kids may see how I think and if they like it, they can bring more kids to play chess. I cannot say that I owe it all Chess. I owe everything to God, and I know that my parents, especially my mom, played a big role in everything. (But) I am also sure that the game of Chess had a significant impact on how I turned out to be. My abilities to learn, visualize, analyze, solve problems, as well as traits of independence, self-reliance, curiosity, and the desire to achieve. I am happy with who I am, how I live my life, and how I think.
I will write about life issues as I see them. I will come up with reasons why I think something is the way I see it. My explanations will touch on the game of Chess, just enough so that people who are not familiar with the game of Chess are not confused or discouraged from reading further.
I will analyze games of Chess here and there, for the Chess player whose visit would not be complete without looking at a Chess game. (I need to figure out the technical aspect of this first.)
